We believe great furniture should not be discarded simply because its first chapter has ended. Instead, it deserves a new home, a new purpose, and a new story.
Today, Declutter Furnishings continues to connect buyers and sellers through a marketplace built on trust, transparency, and quality.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Oluwatoyin Oyeyemi
Oluwatoyin Oyeyemi saw something many people overlooked. Beautiful furniture was constantly being discarded, replaced, or forgotten despite still having tremendous value.
At the same time, buyers were searching for affordable, quality furnishings from people they could trust.
She envisioned a marketplace where both problems could be solved through a community built on transparency, quality, and trust.
That vision would eventually become Declutter Furnishings.

The Idea
In 2021, Oluwatoyin Oyeyemi recognized a growing opportunity within the decluttering market. She believed there should be a dedicated platform where quality pre-owned furnishings could easily find new owners. This was the beginning of the vision.

Flip Furnishings Is Born
The original concept launched under the name Flip Furnishings. As the community grew, it became clear that the brand needed to align more closely with the established decluttering industry. The business later evolved into Declutter Furnishings.

Building Community
Through consistency, authenticity, and trust, Oluwatoyin built her Instagram community from zero followers to over 7,500 followers. Her reputation became synonymous with honesty, quality, and exceptional customer service.

As social media platforms increasingly became vulnerable to restrictions, suspensions, and account disruptions, a new challenge emerged. Businesses built solely on social media were exposed to risks beyond their control. Oluwatoyin recognized that the future required something more permanent — something she could truly call her own.

Building The Future
Determined to create a better experience for both buyers and sellers, Oluwatoyin partnered with Webcraft Agency to design a dedicated marketplace built specifically for declutter vendors. The goal was simple: Create a secure, trusted, and personalised shopping experience.

Years of vision, community building, and planning culminated in the launch of the Declutter Furnishings platform. A dedicated marketplace built to support the future of furniture resale.
